Robert Geller is an New York based designer but he was born in Hamburg, Germany. He graduated in fashion design in 2001 and then went to the USA to work for Marc Jacobs. At Marc Jacobs he met Alexandre Plokhov who Robert teamed up with to start the label Cloak. Robert Geller left Cloak in 2004 and resurfaced in the fashion world in 2006 with a women's line called Harald. It was a success and that lead to favourable financial backing for a menswear line in his own name that was launched in 2007 .
I think that Robert Geller's fall collection for 2011 is nothing short of cool. There are many delectable pieces and the colour palate is right up my alley. The collection feels fresh and fashion forward and let's face it men need an injection of something new into their wardrobes. The only thing I wonder is if the clothes will be for me? The models don't look a day over sixteen and look like they haven't eaten for a month or two.
