Hermés - The Kelly Bag

The bag was created by Hermés in the 1930s and the original name was "H". In the 1950s the actress Grace Kelly married Rainer of Monaco and pictures of the lovely blonde clutching her Hermés bag was sent out all over the world. The buzz over the bag was large and Hermés renamed the bag to "Kelly". It was popular through the 1960s but went into a dip in the 1970s to back with a vengenance in the 1980s. At times there were a waiting list to get a "Kelly" bag. At present it is huge and carried by Victoria Beckham and the likes. It costs an arm and a leg but I suppose your girlfriend will love extra much.
