Heritage

As I have mentioned before it is vital for every human being to know his or her past. About a thosand years ago (give or take a few decades) my ancestor saw to it that the family ended up in England from France.

A few generations later Mathilda of England took the family to Germany when she by marriage became Duchess of Saxony.

Yet some generations later Katarina af Sachsen-Lauenburg left Germany to marry the Swedish king and the family ended up in Sweden.

What a journey, indeed.

When I google for pictures of my ancestor Katarina af Sachsen-Lauenburg among other things a picture of myself with my father's dog appears. That is just plain weird.
