When I arrived back to Sweden today I was met by the news that the Swedish actress, Sickan Carlsson had died. She reached the honourable age of 96 and was apparently in happy spirits until the end. She started her career in the 1930s and did about 60 films, all of them light and happy comedies. Perhaps not something most foreigners associate with Sweden since they usually think of Ingmar Bergman and his gloom. Sickan Carlsson was the opposite with a smile always close at hand both in films and in real life. I loved and love her films.
She will be remembered.
