Born in 1638 and king at the age of five, but didn't start to rule solely before the death of Cardinal Mazarin in 1661. Known as the Sun King and the royal monarch who has reigned the longest in European history, 72 years and 101 days to be exact. He pacified the noble men by having them occupied in luxuries at the Versailles, created France into the most powerful nation in the 17th century and lay the foundation to fashion power that the French are today.
You just got to love him.
