Beauty

Today I felt an accute need for an injection of beauty as I'm to make a transition from one reality to another. Beauty and the feeling it conjures up is the perfect medication for many of life's evils. It can soothe the most tormented of souls and the most weary of bodies. I suppose that is why we through the history of mankind has made it into something that borders on religion, for what do we worship as much as the the things that are pleasing to the eye?

Alexander McQueen fully understood the concept of beauty, as can be seen from these excerpts from the book that was produced for the exhibition at The Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York.

Beauty

Beauty. Beauty is told to be held in the eye of the beholder. Beauty is nothing more than symmetry, a symmetry of the face that for some reason is pleasing to the eye. That is the shell, the outer beauty but there is also an inner beauty and the two do not necessarily correlate. A person who perhaps can't be called beautiful or handsome can be an absolutely stunning person on the inside. Naturally the opposite also exist, where a person is considered as near to breathtaking but what is on the inside is purely rotten. We are sadly judged by our exterior which only goes skin deep, but when we get to know that the person with the mesmerizing eyes and marvellous lips are quite a disgusting person that beauty mercilessly fades.

So does my exterior correlate with what is on the inside? Well, that is for me to know and for you to find out ....

Beauty

Sometimes we need to rest our eyes on something beautiful. Beauty in a human has even been diagnosed on a scientific level and it's all to do with symmetry. We can never escape the fact that we find certain people more beautiful and attractive than others. These people get perks in life because of the reaction they instill in us. We are treated by the way we look. We also feel better looking at people we find beautiful. I think that Helena Christensen (Danish Dynamite) and Ricky Martin (Lucious Latino) are two fine examples of beauty.

I already feel happier ....
