Kardashian Jeans

The Kardashian sisters are flogging their own brand of jeans half naked. A line of dresses, shoes, jewellry and accessories designed by the sisters are to be sold exclusively by Sears. I stand speechless at the interest of these reality-TV-gadgets and wouldn't touch anything that has their name on it, not even with ten foot pole.

Calvin Klein Jeans

The colourful jeans are back with a vengenance. The last time I saw it in full force was in the beginning of the 1990s. They started popping up last season but this spring colours is the big thing. Calvin Klein is on the band wagon and the advertising is hot. Half naked models, blue water and amazing pictures. What's not to like?

Feast your eyes ...

Wedding Dress???!?

I looked at some pictures from a wedding today. The happy couple looked stylish as one would expect. I expect the same of the wedding guests but I was stunned at the appaling lack of dress sense. A wedding is a celebration of love and commitment no matter if the two persons in question are doing it for just that, love, or for legal reasons or just as an excuse to have a great, big bash. It is a party at any rate and you should be dressed accordingly.

If you turn up at my wedding in jeans and a t-shirt you will be shot on sight.

Cheap Monday

I like promoting Swedish success stories and Cheap Monday fits that category. This project was launched in 2004 by Örjan Andersson. He had some years in the fashion business under his belt as partner in shops like Weekend and Weekday. He saw an opening in the market for jeans that were of good design yet cheap. It started with jeans but in 2005 there were fullblown collections for both men and women. In March 2004 the first delievery of jeans amounted to 800 pairs which can be put in contrast to the brand today being sold in 35 countries around the world.

I like the concept but I don't belong to the target group. Honestly I think that most of the clothes are ugly. The picture above was the only one from the 2011 spring collection that spoke to me, and let's face it, it's quite mainstream. I also like the t-shirt below which I gladly could add to my wardrobe.
