Marni at H&M

The newest collaboration for H&M is with Marni. The clothes are clourful and the prints are really out there. It is a win-win situation for both actors in this venture but sadly the things don't scream BUY ME according to me. The only exception being the bag below, and it is not a scream but more like a soft whisper.

H&M and Versace, Part 2

Tomorrow H&M will launch a prespring collection by Versace so the collaboration continues. Surf in to www.hm.com and let's see if we will be pleasantly surprised ... or not.

Need New Trousers

I need some more trousers. It's true, actually. I usually buy more sweaters and shirts so the trouser department needs an infusion. I like these trousers from H&M. I'm a sucker for blue and they only cost about £20. I know that you can buy them online as well but I really feel that I need to go to a shop and try them before they end up in my wardrobe.

Versace for H&M

On November the 17th people all over the world will be hanging on the locks of the H&M shops. The new guest designer, Versace's, collection will be launched on this day. The collection can from today be viewed on H&M's webpage. It is very Versace (what a surprise) in style and advertising. It is flashy, colourful and will be sold out quickly and end up on ebay moments after.

My Crusade for Pink

My crusade for pink continues. If you're a man and if you have an ounce of a rebellious streak in your boby you wear pink. Why on earth shouldn't a man be able to wear pink? Many designers have the colour in their collections at the moment. To some it is a sissy colour. If you wear it you show bravery, openmindedness and intelligence. In other words a rebel.

If you want to test something new you don't splash out a lot of cash. You turn to companies like H&M. For next to nothing you can try a new concept. These two pink examples will only set you back about ten quid each.

Overall

Fashion against AIDS that is underway at H&M at the moment is wonderful. It is great with companies that want to contribute and give something back to society. It doesn't hurt their brands either. So I say go for it and a big cudos to H&M.

When I went into their webpage I was reminded by a what I consider to be a fashion faux pas at the moment, the overall. Apparently it's considered to be trendy and the new thing, and I am dumbfounded. Why put grownups in something that should be shunned from your wardrobes after the age of two?

I would like to line up the designers and trend analysts that thrust this thing into our existence, make them bend over and spank them.

News from H&M

Some nice new things have popped up at H&M. For instance this linen suit. In the summer, especially if we get a hot one, a linen suit is a gift from the Gods. You can maintain a level of elegance and still be cool (and then I mean temperature wise). Linen is supposed to be wrinkled so you don't have to worry about pressing it.

Another essential thing in the wardrobe no matter if it is spring, summer, autumn or winter you need a jacket to have with your jeans. Here you can be a bit more playful and the jacket above fits that criteria to a T.

A pink t-shirt. Why not? Every wardrobe needs a splash of colour and I think that men should be brave enough to wear pink even if they have the slight fear that they will be seen as gay. Welcome to the 21st century! Anyone can wear pink and we should be past the point where sexuality is an issue.

Nice jacket with the military inspired trimmings and details. Probaly won't hold out more than a season but it only costs £20.

I love blue so a pair of blue sunglasses is coming my way. When it comes to sunglasses these days I buy in bulk. I buy cheap ones and have many to alternate between. I have done this for many years since one time my father borrowed a pair of my sunglasses and one of my aunts sat on them. He phoned me and said that it couldn't be much harm and that they couldn't cost much. Of course not, father, only Calvin Klein and £150 down the drain.´
After that I stick to H&M, at least when it comes to sunglasses.

Collection of Style

This summer people strolling down Biblioteksgatan in Stockholm will experience a new addition to the street of luxurious high fashion when Collection of Style opens its doors. The chain of shops was started in 2007 and is H&M's way of branching out and hitting another consumer target than the ones who buy their trendy but very affordable fashion. They have 35 shops in eight countries (UK, Germany, Holland, Denmark, France, Spain, Ireland and Belgium) so far. The shop in Stockholm will be their first in Sweden and will give the style hungry shoppers an opportunity to buy their updated classics and timeless design without having to leave the country.
Not that shopping abroad isn't always fun.
